G2 Athletes of the Week (Ending Oct. 19)

(Halifax, NS) Dalhousie University presents our G2 Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sunday, October 19, 2014.

Elizabeth MacArthur, Hockey

Second year forward Elizabeth MacArthur is this week’s G2 Female Athlete of the Week.

MacArthur scored twice and added an assist in the Tigers 5-2 victory over Mount Allison in Friday’s season opener. She brought her weekend total to four on Sunday, scoring two more in the Tigers 4-3 loss to the St. Thomas Tommies in Sunday’s home opener.

An arts student, Elizabeth is from Truro, NS.

Sean Berrigan, Swimming

First-year swimmier Sean Berrigan is this week’s G2 Male Athlete of the Week.

Berrigan swam his way to three gold medals and a fourth place finish in his first AUS swim meet. He won both the 50m and 100m backstroke events and was the lead swimmer in the Tigers 4x50m medley relay winning team. He also placed fourth in the 50m freestyle event.

A native of Dartmouth, NS, Sean is a business management student.
