Athletes of the Week (Ending Sept. 7)

Dalhousie University presents our G2 Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sunday, September 7, 2014.

Michelle Yates, Soccer

Fifth-year midfielder Michelle Yates is this week’s G2 Female Athlete of the Week.

In her first ever game with the Tigers, Yates scored twice in the second half of the Tigers 2-3 loss to the Mounties on Saturday. She had six shots on goal.

On Sunday, she continued lead the Tigers getting two shots on net in their 0-0 draw with Acadia. She was the player of the game for Dal in both matches this weekend.

A science student, Michelle is from Fall River, NS.

Bezick Evraire, Soccer

Fourth-year midfielder Bezick Evraire is this week’s G2 Male Athlete of the Week.

Evraire got his first goal of the regular season in the Tigers 3-0 win over Mount Allison on Saturday and was named the Subway player of Game for his efforts. He also had a very strong performance on Sunday in the 3-0 loss to Acadia.

Evraire scored five goals in the Tigers two pre-season games.

A native of Ottawa, ON, Bezick is an arts student.
