Dalhousie University presents our G2 Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sunday, February 10, 2013.

Katie Webster, Swimming

Last weekend second-year Tiger Katie Webster led Dalhousie to its 26th AUS Women’s Swimming Championship title with gold medal finishes in the 400 metre and 800 metre freestyle events. She also collected second place in the 200 metre butterfly and 400 metre individual medley. Her excellence in the pool was recognized with AUS Female Swimmer of the Meet honours. An acting and biology student, Webster hails from Whitby, Ont.

Kyle Watson, Swimming

Second-year swimmer Kyle Watson was a great contributor to the Tigers 23rd AUS Men’s Swimming Championship title this past weekend. Watson collected first place finishes in the 200 metre and 1500 metre freestyle events as well as the 400 metre medley team relay and the 800 metre freestyle team relay.  He added a bronze medal in the 400 metre individual medley to his haul and was honoured as the AUS Male Swimmer of the Meet for his performance in the pool . The Darthmouth, N.S. native is currently studying computer science.
