Simon Farine

Fifth-year midfielder Teresa Morrison led the women’s soccer team to victories over both St. FX and CBU over the weekend. The Halifax native scored twice in the Tigers 5-0 win over the St. FX X-Women on Saturday. On Sunday, she set up Dal’s first goal against the Capers on the way to a 2-1 win. Dalhousie has not defeated Cape Breton since the 2004 AUS semifinal game. The Tigers last two games of the season take place Saturday, Oct. 31 at home versus UPEI and Sunday, Nov. 1 vs. Mount Allison

Tigers men’s basketball guard Simon Farine played 118 minutes at Laval’s Rouge et Or tournament on the weekend, leading his team to a 2-1 record. Mr. Farine scored 26 points in Dal’s 71-67 win over host Laval on Friday. On Saturday, he collected 15 points in the Tigers 57-64 loss to Calgary and on Sunday he was Dal’s top scorer with 24 points beating Western 80-58. The men’s basketball team is now 5-1 in pre-season play.
