At Dalhousie, we go beyond teaching knowledge to actually generating it. That's why we've taken our quest for knowledge to an entirely new frontier, as part of NASA´s Phoenix Mission to Mars.
As members of the International Phoenix Science Team, Dalhousie lent its expertise to the construction and operation of the Canadian led laser radar - LIDAR, and when the Phoenix Mission arrives at Mars, Dalhousie will be there! The LIDAR is one of the most useful scientific instruments for measuring the structure of the dusty atmosphere, making it a valuable tool on a mission designed to discover more about whether life really could exist on Mars.
