David Black receives the Annual Dalhousie FASS Award for Service Excellence

We are pleased to announce that David Black has won the Annual FASS Service Excellence Award!  Each year the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences recognizes a faculty member who has demonstrated excellence in service and the importance of collegial governance to the operation of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Dalhousie University.  The Award places high value on the professional contributions made by members of the Faculty (both at the departmental and faculty levels), departmental and Faculty leadership, and other administrative services.

In particular, David is being recognized for his "significant services in the Departments of Political Science, Centre for Foreign Policy Studies, International Development Studies and the College of Sustainability as well as numerous departmental, Faculty and university-level committees." This wide-ranging service has always been provided "in a positive, collegial and self-effacing manner.”
