The Dal AC Daycare is participating in the Coldest Night of the Year on February 20th. Children, families and staff of the daycare will walk 2 km to raise funds for the Truro Homeless Outreach Society in their efforts to build a permanent shelter in Truro.
The children love being a part of this special campus community and are looking forward to contributing to change in the larger community.
The children will be baking goodies for sale Thursday, February 11th – just in time for Valentine’s Day! We will make the rounds of campus looking for donations to this great cause!
You can support our little fundraisers by making a donation online to the Dal AC Daycare Team or in person with Jenna Forsyth, Cumming Hall.
The Truro Homeless Outreach Society (THOS) was created to develop a year round emergency shelter for homeless men, women and families in our town. The Coldest Night of the Year is a Canada-wide winter walk-a-thon to support local homeless organizations in each participating city. It's a fun and chilly event, and it provides much-needed support and awareness for homeless organizations that often face a decline in funds during the coldest months of the year
