Dr. Suzanne Le-May Sheffield and Dr. Deborah Kiceniuk,
Centre for Learning & Teaching
August 14, 9am -12pm
Cox 260
A key component of a successful assessment tool is clear communication to students. At the outset, students need to fully comprehend the purpose and value of an assignment and its component parts. Upon completing the assignment, students need to receive clear feedback on their work. This workshop will provide you with an opportunity to begin creating a rubric for an assignment, discuss approaches to feedback with colleagues, and explore how you can create a dialogue with your students about assessment.
