Teaching as Inquiry
Afternoon Keynote by Shelagh Crooks
In this presentation I aim to focus on 4 questions:
- What does inquiry in teaching and learning look like?
- How does it get started?
- Why should we value it?
- What needs to happen in the university to bring teaching inquiry ‘out of the closet’ and into mainstream culture?
I will speak to each of these questions from the point of view of my own experience as a researcher in, and as a member of an active community of teaching inquirers.
