Sustainability Awards

Submit a nomination to rethink@dal.ca!

In addition to the Rethink Trophy bestowed on the winning rethink team, throughout the year Dalhousie's Office of Sustainability regularly bestows Sustainability Awards to deserving individuals in the Dalhousie community.

Do you know someone at Dalhousie who is contributing to creating a culture of sustainability on campus?

Nominate them for a Sustainability Award! If the nomination is approved, the individual will receive a certificate and a rethink mug. Email rethink@dal.ca with the person's name, department/faculty, and a paragraph describing why you think this person deserves a Sustainability Award.

The Committed Cyclist Competition, August - September 2010

Sometimes the Office will host themed competitions for the Sustainability Awards. For example, from August 9th - September 30th 2010 the Office hosted a special edition of the Sustainability Award competition. We wanted to highlight and profile Dalhousie's committed cyclists who reduce their environmental impact by using this sustainable mode of transportation.

All nominees received a sustainable ceramic travel mug and certificate. The grand prize winners received a special prize package from the Dalhousie Bike Centre that included a Centre membership.
