Travel Avoidance
To reduce energy consumption, try alternative work arrangements
Adjusting Hours of Work:
Flexible work schedules that permit variable start/end times within set limits. Such limits usually refer to core hours, during which all employees must be present. When reviewing this option, take into account operational requirements and the needs of other employees in your department. In certain circumstances, hours of work outside what is considered the normal work day or normal work week may be considered for some employees.
Compressed Work Week
A work week that is condensed to fewer than the usual five days, while maintaining the regular weekly work hours. Advantages of the compressed work week include additional daily hours of service available to clients, and employees having fewer work days.
Work From Home
Where operationally feasible, HR’s telework policy provides the opportunity to address transportation concerns and complete required work at home (where applicable). Please refer to the Telework Policy to find out if this option is appropriate for you or your employees.
