The Canada-Israel Industrial R&D Foundation (CIIRDF) has launched a new Call for Proposals (CFP) for bilateral R&D projects. Leveraging support from the Governments of Canada and Israel, this CFP aims to stimulate R&D collaboration between firms in both countries with a focus on the commercialization of new technologies.
CIIRDF will select and award Canada-Israel R&D teams with financial contributions up to 50 percent of the eligible project costs (a maximum of $800,000 per project, whichever is less). Should the resulting innovation generate commercial revenues following project completion, CIIRDF funding is subject to repayment.
Proposals with non-defence applications in all technology sectors are invited from Canadian for-profit companies that are registered and operate in Canada; and Israeli for-profit companies that are registered and operate in Israel.
• Canadian firms have the opportunity to leverage academic expertise on their R&D projects and engage students jointly with NSERC.
• Public sector organizations, such as universities and research institutions, are eligible to participate in R&D projects as subcontractors or consultants (not applicants).
For information on CIIRDF sector priorities, application guidelines, process, templates and proposal evaluation, please visit the website here. Summary proposals are due by 15 July, with full applications to follow.
Interested Dalhousie faculty are asked to contact the International Research Facilitator in Dalhousie Research Services (jennifer.morawiecki@dal.ca) for more information and support in preparing an application with an industry partner.
