A call has been issued by the Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Education for proposals to the Norwegian Government’s High North Programme.
The goal of the Programme is to expand, strengthen and disseminate knowledge about or relevant to the High North. Its objectives include increasing and strengthening higher education cooperation about matters relevant to the High North, between institutions in Norway and in Canada, China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Russia, and the U.S. This includes increasing the number of jointly developed courses, programmes and degrees as well as increasing mobility of students and faculty.
Higher education institutions in Canada are eligible to serve as partner institutions in these projects. Proposals may also involve cooperation with research institutes and non‐ governmental organizations, public agencies or private companies.
Under this call, proposals are sought for short‐term project cooperation (2 years in duration, budgets up to 300,000 NOK / approx. C$47,500).
Full guidelines and information about this call are available here.
Note that applications must be led and submitted by Norwegian institutions.
Any Dal faculty members with interests in High North issues, who have established links with Norwegian colleagues, are asked to contact the International Research Facilitator (jennifer.morawiecki@dal.ca) for further information and support.
