The Mitacs-JSPS Internship provides funding for graduate students in Canada to undertake 10-week research projects in Japan. This competitive initiative is a partnership between Mitacs and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).
This new initiative is open to Master’s and PhD students in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. Research placements will be from June 14 to August 24, 2016, and JSPS provides round-trip airfare, insurance, a maintenance allowance, and a research support allowance.

Dal faculty with research collaborations at Japanese institutions are asked to bring this opportunity to the attention of their graduate students, and encourage their applications to this program.
Interested applicants are invited to contact the International Research Facilitator (jennifer.morawiecki@dal.ca) in Dalhousie Research Services, for support in preparing an application and to obtain a current list of Japanese institutions with which Dalhousie has agreements of cooperation.
