Textbook Return Policy

When and how to return unused books

To receive a refund, the textbook(s) must be:

• Returned with the original receipt.
  
• In mint condition. Marked or damaged books will not be considered for return.
  
• In original shrink-wrap. We do not accept returns for materials with opened shrink-wrapped.
  

Refunds will be given in the original tender: cash, credit card, debit card, or DalCard.

Fall Term Books

• May be returned for a full refund up to the last Friday of September, if purchased after August 1st.
  
• May be returned for an in-store credit with a Dropped Course Slip from the Registrar’s Office up to and including November 1st.
  
• No returns after November 1st.
  

Winter Term Books

• May be returned for full refund up to the last Friday of January, if purchased after Dec. 1 of the same academic year.
  
• May be returned for an in-store credit with a Dropped Course Slip from the Registrar’s Office until March 1.
  
• No Returns after March 1.
  

Full Year Books

• May be returned for full refund up to the last Friday of September, if purchased after Aug. 1.
  
• May be returned for an in-store credit with a Dropped Course Slip from the Registrar’s Office up to and including Nov. 1.
  
• No Returns after Nov. 1.

Spring/Summer Returns

• Must be returned within three days of purchase.
