Admission Requirements
for former Dalhousie undergraduate students
Returning to Dalhousie?
If you have been away from Dalhousie for more than two consecutive terms (not including the summer), you will need to reapply for admission. If you haven't completed further university studies, you simply need to submit a new application for admission as well as a letter explaining your activities since last attending Dal. There is no application fee if you are applying to return to the same program.
Attended another university or college?
You need to arrange for official transcripts to be sent to us from any other post-secondary institution attended since you left Dal.
Academically dismissed?
If you are applying to return to Dalhousie after an academic dismissal, you need to submit a new application. At Dalhousie we recognise that sometimes academic ability is masked by low grades that reflect temporary circumstances or personal difficulties. Be sure to include an explanation of why your previous academic grades were lower than expected and why you believe you would be successful if re-admitted. To find out more about the support that is available at Dalhousie to help you succeed visit Academic Support Services.
