Serving the Maritimes, Dalhousie Medical School has campuses in Halifax, NS and Saint John, NB, and 100+ teaching sites across Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island.

Founded in 1868, the medical school is committed to producing highly regarded doctors through quality academic programs and a diverse clinical and research-rich environment. The curriculum balances classroom work with clinical and elective experiences in rural clinics and large, tertiary care hospitals.

Dalhousie Medical School is home to some of Canada's top students, physicians, and medical researchers. Graduates consistently perform in the top quartile of the Medical Council of Canada exams.

Program Notes:
For admission into the undergraduate MD program, preference is given to residents of the Maritime provinces.

Careers: Dalhousie Medical School has postgraduate (resident) training in family medicine and more than 45 Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons specialty and subspecialty programs.

Program Notes:
Learning takes place in teaching sites across the Maritimes. Students also have the opportunity to study abroad through the Global Health Office.

Dalhousie offers a combined oral and maxillofacial surgery option for dentistry students (students can graduate with a DDS/MD degree).

Completion of the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT)
