| Description: | Engineers are problem solvers, constantly trying to find better ways to do things, whether designing a better laptop, making safer cars, finding ways to harness wind energy - even attempting to make a concrete canoe float. As an engineering student, you'll think both analytically and creatively. You'll work in student teams and learn to communicate effectively and be prepared for a career in any number of well-paying, challenging fields. The Faculty of Engineering offers undergraduate studies in 10 accredited disciplines. After two years of study, students can apply to a specific Engineering discipline. Industrial Engineering focuses on the design of styles to improve productivity and effectiveness. All systems essential to the functioning of modern society are of interest to industrial engineers, including manufacturing, health care, environment, transportation, telecommunications and more. |
