Funding
Guaranteed for one year, ASPIRE funding is available in varying amounts to undergraduate, master’s and PhD students and to postdoctoral fellows.
Your funding is renewable for:
• Up to two years if you’re a master’s trainee (only new students)
• Up to four years if you’re a PhD trainee (only new students)
• Up to two years for post-doctoral fellows (only new trainees).
The amount of funding our program provides depends on current research grants as well as any other funding available.
If justified, material and travel-related expenses may be covered in some instances.
Funding requirements
To apply for ASPIRE funding, you must already be a part of degree, program or course at Dalhousie or another university.
Once you begin our program, please note that you must submit a report each year detailing your research.
